Christelle BARBREAU
Doctor of Plant Pathology University of Montpellier
Christelle is the founder of ELICIR, and has been a member of the international community of scientists specializing in plant elicitors and biostimulants since obtaining her doctorate in science at Montpellier II University. The originator of two other marketed elicitor products, including the first plant extract approved at European level, Christelle has lectured internationally on the metabolic pathways inducing plant resistance. Christelle is also an internationally-recognized expert on the approval processes for plant protection products at European level, and more specifically those for bio-products, which require specific approaches that need to be adapted. Christelle is co-managing director and in charge of R&D strategy and product registrations at ELICIR.
Christophe BONAZZI
AgroParisTech engineer
Christophe trained as an agricultural engineer at AgroParisTech, and completed his PhD in economics at Mines Paristech, where he studied the comparative R&D strategies of the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. This was at the time of the industrial emergence of bio-technologies and GMOs. Christophe went on to become a chronic entrepreneur in several high-tech sectors: Ecobilan, the company that gave life-cycle analysis its credentials, then Spacecode, in the RFID field, then Finsécur, in the fire detection sector. Since 1997, Christophe has also been involved in a series of international conferences on the integration of environmental strategies into the economic sphere. Christophe is also a former IHEST auditor, a local councillor and the father of four grown-up children.
Engineer Centrale Paris
Georges trained as a general engineer at the Ecole Centrale de Paris, then began his career as an inventor, before becoming an intellectual property attorney, both in the USA and Europe. In this capacity, he has advised and drafted patents for major industrial groups as well as start-ups, and has also participated in the creation of several innovative companies. He is familiar with the strategic issues surrounding patents.
